Pharmacists
Our Pharmacy is decentralized, enabling staff pharmacists to leave the Pharmacy and actively participate in daily rounds with medical staff — working closely with other members of the patient care team to develop effective drug therapies. At the same time, our clinical pharmacists create overall therapy protocols. Together, our Pharmacy team provides medication-use evaluation, drug information and patient education services.
Bridgeport Hospital offers internships to undergraduate students through affiliation agreements with local schools of Pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technicians
Our pharmacy technicians play an integral role in the delivery of services, specializing in IV admixture, inventory control, and pharmaceutical distribution systems. Our technicians enjoy superior growth opportunities, and are encouraged to seek national certification.
