Diagnostic Imaging

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Bridgeport Hospital provides more than 90,000 exams each year while also serving as a clinical site for Gateway Community College’s Ultrasound and General Radiology programs. Our Diagnostic Imaging team utilizes state-of-the-art technologies – including film-less, web-based imaging – to provide a comprehensive range of services on a 24/7 basis. We are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and licensed by both the state of Connecticut and the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Radiation Therapy

The therapeutic imaging team at Bridgeport Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art equipment, protocols and specialty services – including high- and low-dose brachytherapy and IMRT external beam approached treatments – to meet the evolving needs of a diverse patient population.

Our challenging, fast-paced environment serves as a clinical site for Gateway Community College’s Radiation Therapy Program, and we are committed to supporting the ongoing education and professional growth of our team members.
